Everyone participating in any hunting or fishing season on the Refuge MUST purchase an Annual Public Use permit.
Background
In February 2016, Refuge staff asked for public comments on changing the user fee system for hunters and fishermen. You can see a copy of the press release here. All public comments were in favor of the change. As of September 1, 2016, all individuals hunting and fishing on the Refuge will be required to purchase an Annual Public Use Permit.
Cost
Cost is $20.00 per person. Each individual must have their own iSportsman account in order to purchase this permit. Please be sure to provide an email address when you create your account!!
Cash or money orders are not accepted at the Visitor's Center to purchase the Annual Public Use Permit.
Annual Public Use Permits must be purchased through iSportsman.
Details
Permits are valid for a calendar year from August 1 to July 31. These permits also allow you to use an ATV during designated seasons in accordance with regulations. No additional ATV permit or sticker is required.
